Big Sister Class

We took Kyla to the Big Sister Class tonight at Holland Hospital. It was great to prepare her for my hospital visit and teach her about how to care for her baby brother. She was a pro at changing baby's diaper and swaddling. We had a good laugh at her response to baby's anatomically correct boy parts. She opened the diaper and kept touching it tryin to figure out what in the world was wrong with her baby. Looks like a talk about boys and girls will be in order when brother arrives.

She knew exactly what to do. Too bad I can't have her do this on baby's poopy diapers when he comes!

She also got to make her handprints so she can compare them to baby brothers.

We also had a tour of the birth center where she could see where mommy will be when baby is born and where her brother will spend some time while mommy sleeps. As we were walking out she kept asking why we weren't taking brother home with us. We had to explain that he was still in mom's tummy and will come home when our Christmas tree is up. She was so excited to go through the class and see the hospital, hopefully she will be as excited to meet her brother.

Aww! How sweet - what a fun class. Sounds like Kyla is ready for her brother to be here anytime! :)
